Meet 6-year-old sweetheart, Dottie! This 70-lb American Staffordshire/Bulldog mix loves all humans, big and small.
She’s house-trained and her favorite thing is being next to you on the sofa.
A champion snuggle bug, she is very soft and sweet, takes treats very gently and all of our veterinarians say she’s super easy.
The last few months, she’s had a couple of tumors removed and was very patient while convalescing.
All her tests have come back to indicate that those tumors did not spread and she’s otherwise in good health.
She is getting back in shape again after the convalescence period and likes a short walk or two, otherwise loves relaxing with you at home.
Dottie loves road trips and is well-behaved in the car.
She needs to be an only dog – although Dottie loves humans, she’s not always sure about other animals.
She would also like to be walked in places where other dogs are on leash and won’t rush up to her.
(This is very normal for adult dogs!) Dottie is highly treat-motivated and has learned quickly to look at her human during a walk (instead of reacting) when passing another dog.

Rocket Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer nonprofit group dedicated to saving homeless and abandoned animals from euthanasia in overcrowded Bay Area shelters.
We literally give them a second chance at life.
And everybody deserves a second chance.
Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! Adopters must complete an agreement (/) and a personal interview prior to adopting a Rocket Dog.
There is a non-refundable adoption fee ($325 for adult dogs, $400 for puppies) which helps us defer the cost of spay/neutering, vaccinations and microchipping.
