Meet Duke

Duke is a big lover boy. We swooped in and got him just hours before he was to be euthanized at the shelter due to overcrowding. He started out very scared but immediately showed us that he is just a big softy. Loves to cuddle in bed, gets along great with our other dogs, and walks extremely well on the leash. We believe he is a Red Lacy mix which would make him a great hunting dog! He shows a strong prey drive so he isn’t a great fit for homes with cats or small animals.

He would be perfect for someone who likes to be outdoors, go hunting, jogging, hiking, etc. He enjoys laying out in the sun and swimming as much as he loves napping in his kennel. He was also evaluated by a dog behaviorist who expressed zero concerns and said that he displayed perfect play behavior with the other dogs.
