******************************************************************************************* Duke is a super sweet, playful, 1 year old Blue Heeler/Pittie mix (mama was Blue Heeler).

He’s very smart and learns commands quickly.

He already knows SIT, STAY, LAY DOWN, and we are working on “OFF’ (because he gets so excited when his people come home and he likes to jump to get your attention)! Duke is crate trained, house trained and pretty well-behaved for a young pup.

He gets along great with other dogs, and no resource guarding! He isn’t destructive (although he may counter surf if left alone or dig in the yard if he’s bored).

He does respond immediately when caught in the act and is highly trainable.

He wants so badly to please that his foster refers to him as a People Pleaser! This boy has lots of energy and enjoys going for walks.

He does well on a leash, and as mentioned earlier, is a “Velcro” dog and loves nothing more than to be by your side (or at your feet while you work or watch TV).

Duke loves to cuddle and be cuddled.

Duke would do best in a home where he wouldn’t be crated for long hours and would have companionship and consistent cuddle and play time.

He is great with other dogs and older kids (he may knock a toddler down just trying to play), and he loves a good game of fetch! Duke is currently 43 lbs., and will continue to grow.
