Lovely Ed came to us via a Greyhound rescue as an ex-racer. Due to this, he will need to be kept onlead and muzzled on walks / in public areas.
He walks nicely on lead and likes a good sniff around in the paddock, he also wears his muzzle comfortably.
He has found kennel life quite stressful at times, especially when he first came to us. However, he has found his feet during his stay and now settles nicely on his own spread out across his blankets. Ed loves the company of people and can sometimes whine for a bit of attention. He will fall asleep with his head resting on your lap and is generally a lovely, affectionate boy.
Ed has likely only been socialised with other racing greyhounds prior to coming into Battersea.. As an ex-racer, he is likely under socialised when it comes to other dogs and new owners will need to build up his socialisation, finding him some friendly and playful buddies. He has shown chase and focussed behaviours towards some smaller dogs and particularly around wildlife.
Ed is a lovely lad with an sweet and affectionate nature to him. He will need new owners who are understanding of his socially awkward side and are willing to help him through this and encourage him to be a big brave boy in the world!
