Handsome Red Heeler Male seeking a loving, active family; preferably with a home and a fenced yard.

Hi, I'm Elmer.

I am a 2 year old cattle dog weighing about 45lbs of pure fitness.

I am super friendly, smart and loveable.

So what does my ideal home look like?

I am true to my breed so I like to be active and stimulated - so if you are a hiker, runner or even someone who would want to do agility or advanced training with me, you already sound like a good fit.

If you aren't that active, that's OK, but then I would recommend another doggie playmate so I can continue to get exercise and play in a fenced yard.

I like dogs, but prefer the ladies, male dogs are OK, but I would have to meet him first to make sure we jive.

I like to run around and chase, so cats are probably not a good idea.

I would be happy in a home with a single person or couple and even a family.

Since I am active, older kids (13 & up) would do better with me.

I also like to tag along for a car ride and I'm a good size to pack up with the fam and hit the road.

I am also well mannered and home ready...

I am crate trained and house trained, don't worry I'll let you know with a respectful bark in the crate when I need to out.

I know sit, off, and heel for leash walking.

I like to learn so if you wanted to continue obedience training I am happy to learn more commands and tricks.
