Meet Ember

Meet Ember! Ember is a male, 1.5 year old, Black Mouth Cur blend. He is 60 pounds.

Ember arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender. Ember is a goofy, energetic boy! He loves people of all ages! He loves other dogs, even if they don't want to play, he'll keep trying, because playing is fun! He listens pretty well, and is highly trainable. He understands "place" "sit" "high five" "shake" and comes when called. He loves toys! He'll even fetch a ball from water, after he gauges how far it actually went, try to "paddle" it back with a paw, and sometimes he'll face plant into the water and sometimes jumps right in like a pro. When Ember first came into the shelter, he played with his treats like they were toys for a good 5 minutes before he realized he could eat them! Ember is a good, funny, and sweet boy who is ready to go home!

Ember will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.

Ember is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today!
