Meet Estaban, a senior Lab/Chow mix!

On 7/20, Estaban was found running stray in Toppenish. It's impossible for us to know of his past, but he was extremely terrified and wary of human hands at first. He has since been in our care as we have been trying to socialize him and he has come a long ways!

We are crossing our fingers that Esteban can be adopted out with Banana (a female GSD- who is also up for adoption) as the two were found and brought in together; they are an extremely bonded pair and rely on each other in different ways. We understand that adopting two larger dogs may seem like a daunting task but they are both very calm and easy going. Every once in a while they will play with each other like they are puppies, but overall they love to take naps, relax, and just be in one another's presence.

We think Estaban would do best in a calm/quiet home with no cats or young children. Estaban is an easy going senior who just wants to nap or receive belly rubs and to lay in your lap, but we do recommend an experienced dog owner as he may benefit from some basic training. He is potty trained indoors, but is currently trying to overcome his fear of being brought outside. He loves attention and doesn't ask for much- we know with the right person he will fully blossom and come out of his shell.

A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility.
