Are you right for Fauna?
Fauna would like to go to a home with another dog, pending a successful meet and greet at the centre, as she gains confidence from being around them and they will be able to help her learn what it’s like to be in a house. She would like to have access to a private, secure garden where she can potter about, sniff and build her confidence. Her new owners will need to be patient whilst she gets used to the noises of the household and give her plenty of space when she needs it. She could live with children 12+ if they are sensible and don’t overwhelm her. When she is ready to go out for walks, they will need to be along quiet roads with little traffic, so she doesn’t become fearful, and she currently doesn’t like getting in a vehicle to travel. Ideally the home will have minimal visitors whilst she is settling in and although we have no history on her being left alone, we do think she could manage being left up to 4 hours if built up slowly. Her new owners will also need to be comfortable with a dog that toilets in the home as she will not be housetrained when she first comes home.
