Meet Fenny and Toby
Their Personalities
Fenny and Toby are VERY active boys who adore people. They love to explore, follow you around, and hang out. They can easily entertain themselves, but also like to be where the action is. They are purr monsters who love to let you know they are happy. They sleep with the teenage boy in their foster home at night. They are bonded and must be adopted together.
Fenny is short for Fennec (a type of fox with huge ears). When Fenny first came into our care, his ears looked out of proportion to his face. His foster mom thought he looked like a Fennec fox! Fenny is a tab bit more independent that his brother, Toby. Fenny is just as friendly, but is more content to wander around the house and explore on his own. He arrived in our care with a tail injury - he was dragging his tail and couldn't hold it upright. Luckily, his tail healed and is back to normal.
Toby has a major case of FOMO (fear of missing out). He MUST be in the middle of everything. He is constantly under foot, or on the counter, but says he's working on his table manners. Toby likes to climb and explore, and has no fear. He does not like to be separated from his people or his brother. When Toby is not playing - and he plays very hard with his toy mice - he is at your feet, rubbing your legs and purring. Toby also has a cute white tip at the end of his tail.
What Type of Home They Need
These boys need an active home with plenty of room to run around, explore and receive a lot of stimulation. They need a multiple person home and would do great with older kids who will play with them. They respect the boundaries of the four resident cats - whose ages range from 4 to 21 yrs old - although the boys steal food from the other cats if given the chance! They have not been exposed to dogs, but would probably do fine with a cat-friendly dog.
Where They Came From
These brothers, and their mother, Harmony (adoption pending), were rescued by a kind woman who was visiting her grandmother and spotted them hanging out at an abandoned house across the street. It was easy to figure out this little family had been abandoned. Harmony and the boys were all underweight and very friendly...starving for food and human affection.PLEASE NOTE: we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA.
