Fire, 3 years, spayed female, Pitbull Terrier, 60 pounds. She is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter. Please note this dog is currently in Texas.
Fire is a fantastic dog ready for a home of her own! She has been around a lot of different dogs of all sizes. Her current foster home has a small dog (in the video). She gets along great with every dog she has met. She loves to play and will engage in play with other dogs. She does pick up on other dog's cues or if they let her know they don't want to play, she leaves them alone. She has great dog manners and would love a playmate, although not required.
She pulls when walking on leash and will bark to say hi to other dogs. She is easily redirected and is eager to please her human. She loves to sniff and explore out on walks. We have no history with cats or kids. We recommend a home with children 12 years and older.
Fire is fully housebroken and does great in a crate. Sometimes she will randomly complain with a grunt or whine, but stops quickly. She has not had any issues sharing her toys and hasn't shown any issues with food/treats with other dogs.
She is moderate energy where she has burts of energy, but can easily relax and nap after a walk or playtime. She LOVES affection and is not shy about asking for pets and cuddles. She is submissive, very treat motivated, wants to learn and hang out with her humans.
Fire is looking for a moderately active household who will take her for walks and/or will have another dog who likes to wrestle/play. She will do best in a home who is comfortable setting rules and structure. A home that is looking for an affectionate and loving dog.
