Florence

Sweet Florence is a friendly, affectionate and independent girl. She is looking for a loving retirement home where she can spend her days pottering about, chasing the odd ball or stick and enjoying the simple things in life. She is sociable with people and other dogs but does show a worried side at times, preferring to keep her distance, so will need an understanding owner who will offer guidance and reassurance where needed. Being a slightly older lady, Florence will be happy with shorter walks spread over the day and would absolutely love a home where she could snuggle up next to or near her owner after a day of gentle activities.Florence is looking for a calm home with patient and understanding owners who will allow her the time and space to settle and thrive. She could live in a flat, ideally with access to a garden (but not essential) and could live with sensible teenagers of 16+ providing they have experience with dogs and would respect her boundaries. Florence has lichenification of the nose, where it becomes dry and scaley. This condition is associated with her breed type and is kept under control by keeping it moist with products such as Vaseline. Whilst at Mayhew, she has undergone dental treatment which included the extraction of three teeth. Florence has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
