Forget Me Not Animal Rescue
Mission
The mission of Forget Me Not Animal Rescue is to rescue, provide veterinary care, and rehome companion animals that have been abandoned, failed, surrendered, abused, and neglected. We are committed to reducing the unwanted animal population through public education and spay/neuter programs. Forget Me Not Animal Rescue believes no animal should ever be forgotten and all deserve a loving forever home.
Vision
The vision of Forget Me Not Animal Rescue is for every animal to have a loving forever home, free of abuse, neglect, and ignorance.
Forget Me Not Animal Rescue (FMN) is a licensed, section 501(c)(3) not for profit animal rescue group, established and incorporated in February 2017, with years of animal and rescue experience amongst our volunteers. FMN is committed to helping companion animals throughout numerous communities and states.
We are a volunteer based organization dedicated to restoring the animals under our care, in foster homes, to physical and emotional health as they await placement in forever homes.
FMN is 100% donation driven. Virtually all donated funds go directly to the care of the animals.
We strive to work together with other rescue groups, transporters, humane investigators, trainers, and veterinarians to change lives, one animal at a time.
The adoption process starts with filling out an adoption application on our website. After we call your references and vet if you have one. If all good we set up a meet and greet. After meet and greet, we will do a home check to ensure there are no avid concerns with dog/cat living there and you fill out there paperwork and adoption is finalized. Process doesn't take longer then a few days.
Adoption fees
Puppies: $350 (includes spay/neuter, fecal/deworming, microchip, Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper vaccines including boosters, up to date on Heartworm/flea/tick prevention)
Adult dogs: $275 (includes same as above plus heartworm test if 8 mo or older)
The adoption fee for kittens (under 1 year) is $175 and covers virtually everything they will need preventively for the first year+ including 2-4 FVRCPs depending on age & situation, rabies vaccine, FIV/FeLV test, microchip with lifetime registration, and spay or neuter. The first thing you'll need to do is at about a year and 4 months, update vaccines. Adult cats get the same thing except 1-2 FVRCPs depending on the situation and are $100 - unless they are seniors (over 10 years old) in which case we also do a senior blood panel and the fee is $75. We discount a second adoption fee by 50% regardless of age. It can also be used for mom and baby (mom is half off) or dog and cat (cat is half off), etc.
