Meet Freya
Freya is the BEST pretty princess you will ever meet. Her foster mom says she is the best girl ever! She is a sweet and energetic girl that needs an active family to play and love her!
Her story: Freya was dumped in someone's front yard with her 2 puppies. When the city animal control picked her up, her puppies were placed up for adoption and she was listed for euthanasia. Luckily, a rescuer was volunteering with her co-workers and saw a sad howling momma full of milk scheduled to be put down and she knew she needed to save her. On the day she was to be euthanized, Freya was picked up and moved to a vet's office for boarding until her rescuer closed on her new house. Unfortunately, when she was picked up she had 2 mammary ruptures and was in a lot of pain. She was cleaned up and loved on until she could move in with her foster. She moved in with her foster at the end of May and has since blossomed into the beautiful goofball she is today. Freya would benefit from another dog in the home and a dog friendly savvy house.
Freya is fully vetted, healthy, and is ready for adoption! She is up to date on vaccinations, HW negative, house trained, highly motivated, and leash trained. Her smile is captivating! She is so happy to be alive! You won't find a happier girl. She has her zoomies days and she can also be calm and relaxed.
Leash trained: Very respectful to the leash. Clearly not used much prior, but is super receptive to training. When she hits the end and meets any sort of resistance, she returns to the handler. Constantly looking back for confidence and direction during any moments of nervousness or if unsure of something.
Motivation: Treats and affection seem to be her top motivators. She seems to be interested in toys, and has mouthed and carried a few. But clearly has not been heavily exposed to them yet, so they aren't good as a motivator at present. She responds wonderfully to food and affection motivations and as per breed, is extremely focused on her people. The more excitement built by the human, the more receptive she is to being motivated.
Overall, we think she's a fantastic pup with loads of potential for almost any home. If you're interested in learning more, apply today!
