Frieda

Meet Frieda! 12-year-old Frieda entered Downey Shelter as a stray, and when she wasn't claimed, quickly became at risk for euthanasia.

We scooped her up on January 16th to become a Frosted Face instead! At 45 lbs., Frieda is a smaller sized Shepherd mix.

She enjoys going on our weekly FFF hikes, and volunteers report she has great leash manners.

She also has good energy and stamina and easily walks 2-3 miles at a brisk pace.

Frieda does well with other dogs and rotates in several play groups at FFF.

She is friendly, sweet, and happily accepts pets and attention.

Frieda treats very gently and is simply a lovely girl! Frieda is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, and we are so happy she is enjoying time in a home again.

We received a great update from her Fling Mom: "It's one week into our fling with Frieda, and she is a quiet and easy-going companion.

She enjoyed trotting around the park today demonstrating her great loose leash manners! Frieda is truly great and non-reactive on a leash.

We have walked by groups of kids, large gardening machines, many different dogs, and she has ignored them and keeps trotting along.

Frieda is also house-trained! She holds it while she is inside and only goes potty outside when we take her out on walks or let her into the backyard.

She also enjoys sitting in the sun in the yard.

Frieda is a very gentle and calm girl.

She enjoys being in the open living room area where she can be a part of our day-to-day activities and spend time with us.

Frieda enjoys pets and loves a soft comfy bed or blankets.

Did I also mention Frieda is crate trained?
