Meet Frosty! Frosty is a 4 month old male chihuahua mix and he weighs about 7 pounds. Frosty is still growing and he should stay under 15 pounds full grown, but we can't promise that. Frosty arrived at animal services along with his littermates from a neglect situation. Frosty has been in a loving foster home and is blossoming. His foster mom says: Frosty is a determined pup and a bit of an escape artist. He does not like to be kept from his human and furry friends. He is quite successful at jumping on his humans’ bed and crashing through forts or obstacle courses created by his humans. Frosty is very playful and active. He’s comfortable in a harness and is learning how to go on walks. He loves to be outdoors. Due to his current size, he requires a leash/harness as his petite stature makes him prey. In time, he will probably be large enough to run around in a fenced in yard without being tethered to his human. He would do very well with active adults or in a family setting. Due to his energy, children ten and older would probably be a better environment for him as he might accidentally bump into them or be under-foot. Frosty likes to play hard-to-get, he can be quite coy when you want him to come to you. However, if you sit down or pretend, you’re just not that into him, he plops down in your lap. Frosty only barks when left alone. He would not be well-suited in a home where he would be alone most of the day unless he had another furry friend as a companion. He enjoys other dogs and toys. He is non-aggressive and will share. Frosty loves mealtime. His foster mom said a little piece of cheese or whip cream is the key to his heart. Frosty was previously pee pad trained, however his foster mom said he goes potty outside like a champ! He will follow you everywhere. He is a social pup that wants to be with the pack.
Frosty is neutered, up to date on vaccines, on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped.
