Adoption Policy

Not ALL of our dogs are listed on Petfinder or our website. We may send you pictures and descriptions of other wonderful German Shepherds based on the information you provide to us, OR we may call you directly.
Once the Adoption Application is completed and sent back to us at [email protected], we will work on the application approval and confirm match ups with you.
As part of your application’s approval, your veterinarian will be contacted to confirm your dedication to the health and well being of your previous or current pets.
GSRNY provides a home inspection prior to the adoption approval.
While this may seem like a lengthy process it actually may only take a week or two. As a result you should only begin the adoption process when you are ready to welcome a dog into your home.
