Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved.
If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs.
IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply.
If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board.
We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.
Meet the "G" litter.
This litter of puppies was born at the county shelter to mom Greenley.
A wonderful family saved them from being euthanized (yes, they are euthanizing moms & puppies for space at many shelters in Texas).
Gil (Gilbert), 10 months (estimated DOB 3/21/23), male, Pitbull mix, estimated medium size dog when full grown.
He weighs about 50 pounds currently.
He is in a foster home physically located in Houston, Texas and is able to transport from Texas to an approved adopter.
He is the last of his litter to be adopted, so we are hoping his family is looking for him! Gil is the most playful of the group.
He shares a home with his mom and other dogs.
His foster mom works at a doggy daycare and he's been able to go a few days a week.
He LOVES playing with all the other dogs.
He has really great manners.
We would love to see him in a home with another dog to continue his positive socialization.
If no other dog, please indicate how he will socialize with other dogs.
He is potty trained and does well when crated.
He is still working on his leash skills.
He is curious and loves adventures.
He rides well in the car and enjoys pup cups.
He likes to play in water, with toys and chasing balls.
He is energetic, but after some play crashes out for awhile.
He is friendly and always ready for whatever you adventure you have in mind.
We have no history with cats or kids and recommend a home with kids who respect and understand animal boundaries.
For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs.
If you work outside of the home for 6 hours or more, please specify on the application who will be with the puppy during the time you are away.
***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time.
