Meet Ginger
Wow! This girl is such a fun dog.

Super sweet and cuddly.

Goofy personality.

Loves her people fiercely.

Will do anything for them.

Loyal, athletic, and ready for adventure.

She’s super smart too! And approx 2 years old.

She’s also crate and house trained.

And she knows how to use a doggy door too.

Gingersnap was given up, when the family decided that they could not adequately manage her activity level and go forward with training her.

She can be weary of strangers but, we’ve found—in rescue that if they just ignore her—she actually comes around fairly quickly.

We suggest crating her until she knows your guests.

She responds well to high value treats being dropped into her crate.

And learns that strangers bring good things.

She just doesn’t want to be pushed into an interaction.

So, no surprise guests when she’s out.

She’s protective of her family and won’t let a burglar get into the house.

That’s for sure! Once she’s your friend, she loves you for life.

We are looking for a home without children for Ginger.

Even though she came from a home with several kids, that she adored and that adored her.

We think it best to set her up with a more predictable household.

A place where the comings and goings of strangers can be monitored better.

So, Ginger feels more comfortable and less reactive.

She’s a quiet dog unless she needs to go potty then she will give you a whine or a bark.

She is looking for a fun and active family that will not only get her out and about on adventures but, one that will help her use her incredible brain too.

She needs mental and physical stimulation.

She excels at training and loves to learn.

I’m betting that she could be a great agility dog.

She loves running and jumping over things and does it with ease.

She’d love to go to the river or lake and she loves going through the car wash too.

But, playing with a hose in the backyard is a great substitute.
