Due to Covid & border patrol restrictions, you'll be required to cross the border and meet in Blaine, WA to receive your pup :) Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio.
Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Goldie! Goldie is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.
Meet Goldie! Goldie is estimated to be 5-6 years old.
She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find a family to love and cherish her! Goldie was found as a stray and taken in by a woman who thought she was pregnant.
We had her seen by our vet and it was determined that she was high heartworm positive.
She has gone through the fast kill treatment and has recently tested negative for heartworms! Goldie was left neglected for so long that she does have a pulmonary hypertension due to the heartworms.
She takes daily medication for this which she'll need to continue, but it's very affordable and our vet is hopeful that one day she'll be able to come off of it.
She follows up with the doctor once a year for xrays and an echo, but this does NOT slow Goldie down one bit! The ONLY side effect Goldie has from this, is she coughs when she's excited! Mainly when she's getting to go out for walks.
Our vets are confident that Goldie will be able to live a long, happy, fulfilled life just like any other dog! Goldie has got to be one of the most friendly and happy dogs we've had in our rescue! She's the perfect companion to take and sit on a patio because of her friendly disposition.
Goldie has met dogs, cats and kids of all ages! She's gentle and sweet with everyone she meets.
She currently lives with other dogs in her foster home and loves to play with them.
She also enjoys running along the fence with the neighbor's dogs.
Goldie is potty trained and crate trained! She also does well if left to free roam and currently uses the doggie door at her foster home now.
Goldie is great about sharing her toys, treats and food with her doggie foster siblings.
Goldie walks great on a leash, but can't go for very far walks due to her condition.
She still enjoys going for short walks though! She rides excellent in the car! She'll sit in the back seat and just look out the window.
We would say Goldie has a low energy level.
She is a doll when meeting new people and will immediately roll over on her back to get her belly rubbed! Belly rubs are her favorite! Goldie is an absolute angel of a dog.
She loves everyone she meets and is just as happy as can be! She's so adaptable and would be great for most low - moderate lifestyles.
She's the perfect companion to take out in public to dog friendly places and also a great dog park dog! She truly gets along with everyone.
