Meet Ivy's Puppies- Green
Ivy's Puppies were born on January 4th 2023. Their mom is a yellow lab mix and dad is either the wandering Great Pyrenees or the neighbor's Black Lab.
They came into rescue at 5 weeks old and since then they have been introduced to life as a loved pet. They love to hoard stuffed toys and have just started chewing on Nylabones and Elk Antlers. They have just been introduced to the exciting world of treats and will do anything for a Buffalo bite or Salmon and Sweet Potato Jerky. They have been learning "how to dog" from their mama and the other adult dogs in the house. Since they are not yet fully vaccinated, they have not been outside yet, but they are doing great with potty pads. They love to help with household chores like folding laundry, mopping floors and taking out the trash. These babies are so much fun and we cannot wait to see what adventures they get up to with their forever families!
The adoption fee includes all vaccines (parvo, lepto, Bordetella and Rabies as well as age appropriate dewormings, microchipping and their spay or neuter surgery when they are old enough.
If you can see this post, we are still accepting applications. Once the application window closes, it will take us a few days to process all the applications. We will then reach out to approved adopters to set up a meet and greet.
When adopting a puppy from a litter, we think it is best that approved adopters come and interact with the puppies before choosing one to adopt. You can't learn much about the person of a dog from a picture, but you can learn a whole lot from sitting in the pile of puppies! From experience, we know that some times an adopter has a specific puppy in mind, but once they meet them all, they fall in love with a different one. Applying to adopt from the litter instead of applying to adopt a specific puppy may not be the way all rescues work, but we find it helps us do the best job of matching puppies with families. Besides, this way the puppies have a say too! You'd be surprised how many times a puppy picks their own family!
We take the responsibility of finding forever homes for our dogs very seriously and we always have the best interest of our dogs in mind. Our goal is to place each dog in a home with a FOREVER family. We reserve the right to deny an application for any reason and it is our policy not to explain the reason why.
