Meet Groot

Meet Groot! Groot is a male, 3 month old, Australian Cattle Dog blend. He is 17 pounds and growing!

Groot arrived at the shelter as a stray with his 7 other siblings. He is a beautiful boy! He is all puppy, so plan on investing time into his training. Groot is a herding breed, so plan on giving him a job and plenty of enrichment, plus lots of physical exercise. He is sweet and fun, and can't wait to go home!

Groot will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. We do not know how he will do with cats.

Groot is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and ready to go home today!
