Meet Gus!

He is a sensational senior American staffie mix who is looking to live out his golden years in comfort after a not great start in life.

Gus was pulled from ACCT several months ago after being surrendered when his owner could not care for him. He was emaciated, balding and his skins was so inflamed it was hot to the touch. He was grumpy, with good reason. His skin is under control with medication and frequent baths. He has gained weight and his fur is continuing to grow back.

He currently lives with his foster family. Mom, dad, 10 year old sister, 3 large male furry brothers and 1 furry sister. Slow and proper intros are important. Gus can be playful especially with his foster doggie sister Josie. He has a medium energy level.

He is looking for an experienced owner or foster that will be patient and take time to gain his trust. I'm addition to working on his weight, skin and muscle tone, he will need to work on his socialization. Slow and steady wins the race. This gentle boy has endured so much and has come so far. He deserves a loving forever home who will appreciate the love he has to give despite what he went through.
