Meet Hansel
Hansel is a loyal and affectionate friend. He, and his sister Gretel, had been dumped in a rural area, and were finally taken into foster care after several weeks of daily visits to gain their trust. Now he is a bundle of love. Hansel is approximately 18 months old, and weighs 42 pounds. He loves to play with other dogs, and mostly ignores the cats in the foster home.
Hansel has some food guarding behavior, most likely from starving in the woods for who knows how long. We are working on not jumping up in excitement, because even with his nails trimmed it can really hurt. Hansel had a rough start, but he is so full of love, and he wants to be a part of your family.
Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Northern States. We have transports that leave Texas monthly. Our out of state adoption fee is $575 per dog. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heart worm test, health certificate, flea/tick monthly preventative and transport costs. The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Face time, etc). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
