Hi my name is Harmony and I was rescued from an LA shelter on June 30th.
My mom Gloria was tied up and left at a fire station when my brothers and sisters and I were still in her tummy.
She had us at the shelter just a few days later, on May 5th, .
We all lived together ever since so it was a difficult transition into my foster home at first.
My foster mom Christa was calling me Harmony.
I really become attached to Christa right away and played well with my little chi-weenie friend Maya- usually.
I played rough but I was learning to lay down and play at her level.
It was a work in progress but we were all learning together.
My foster home has cats as well and I was doing pretty well with them.
One of the cats is 18 years old.
I liked to kiss him but I accidentally knocked him over with my big tongue because he's so little and frail so Christa would stop me.
In September I went to a house with a family (mom, dad, three children) and a big dog named Rocky.
I was doing great, although I was still playing very rough with Rocky...
but the family decided we were just not a great fit and they returned me to Christa in November.
I was doing great with the two adults and two children who are about 8 and 9 years old.
Unfortunately I was too rough for their smallest child though and could've hurt him.
I was also not leaving Rocky alone.
I wanted to play incessantly and he just started running away from me when he was done playing because he's too sweet to put me in check.
I'm best in a home with no small children and if there's another dog, a dog that can set boundaries with me in a healthy way would be ideal.
I am a big and growing, very playful, puppy, after all.
The couple said I was doing great otherwise.
I loved anyone new who came to my house and still am a very sweet girl so it was difficult for them but it's for the best.
If you have no small children, I pawmise I'll give you the most love, follow you around, and be your little shadow buddy forever! My last home also said:
I know how to sit, stay, and stop.
I am a big cuddle bug, super loving, and happy to see anyone that comes over.
Oh, and I hate the cold!! I'm also potty trained, I love to sunbathe and playing in water, and I love my walks too.
I am literally the best "only" child!! Since coming back to be with Christa in November, RJ the 18 year old cat has passed away so I no longer have a kitty to kiss.
I try to make friends with the other cats here but we're still trying to understand each other.
One of the cats, Remmie, has charged at me, hit me, cut me with his sharp claws, lunged at me, stalked me, etc.
At first I cried and cowered away but now I'm getting frustrated.
We've got a bit of a tense relationship now, which wasn't an issue before, so Christa is constantly monitoring us.
I might do better without cats, as I really want to chase them now, but a cat like RJ who can just let me check them out without hitting me might work.
Prior History:
On July 1st I had a well puppy exam.
I'm told I checked out well and I look, sound, and feel healthy.
I've also had several blood panels run, including a negative heartworm test, and everything checked out.
My last fecal test was negative as well.
I've had all three rounds of DHLPP vaccines and dewormings and my spay procedure is coming up soon.
Christa can give you more details about that.
If you want to know more about me, talk to my foster mom Christa, or set up a meet and greet, feel free to reach out here via Petfinder, or email () or text/ call Christa ), although Christa says texting/ calling is ideal.
Thanks for reading all about me.
We're looking forward to hearing from you,
~Harmony and Christa
