Heartland Humane Society is a limited admissions shelter, which means that we take in animals by appointment and only when appropriate space and resources are available to care for them. We are located at 3400 E Hwy 50 in Yankton,SD . Our regular business hours are  Tues- Fridays from 10AM - 6PM; Sat from 10AM - 2 PM. We are closed on Sun and Mondays.
Adoption Policy
Our cats and kittens are available for $65. All of our felines have been leukemia tested and are up to date on vaccinations and rabies. Cats 4 months or older have been spayed/neutered. Our dogs are available for $150. All of our dogs have been heartworm tested and are up to date on vaccinations and rabies. Puppies 5 months or older have been spayed/neutered. All animals not fixed will require a spay/neuter refundable deposit of $150.
