Meet Henry
This tiny little 10.5yo is such a love! He came to us skin and bones weighing just 1.11oz! Literally the most frail pup we’ve ever gotten in who wasn’t sick! He was living with two children under 3yo and just wasn’t getting the attention he was use to and we think he was just shutting down. We were honestly so scared when he came in. But he’s been here for about two weeks and this pup is showing his true terrier spirit and has turned the corner and then some! He’s eating about 5-6 times a day small meals and after a few days we saw all be energy and the cutest bark for food!! He’ll hit his food dish around with his paw, when ready for another feeding! His hunched back has straightened out and we see all be confidence emerging! He’s probably about 2.5-3lbs now. So looking so much better already!
We’ve allowed him to settle in and gain before giving him a grooming so hope to have an updated picture soon. He just had a dental and is now looking for a quiet retirement home we’re he’ll once again be someone’s main squeeze!
We expect him to weigh about 4-5lbs once he’s at ideal weight. He does fine with the other small dogs in foster home but we feel he’d love getting all the attention as an only. If interested in Henry please submit an application at our website.
Henry continues to do well but has not gained as much weight as we had hoped. He eats numerous small meals a day but is still very thin. He enjoys being outside on the deck or in a fenced in yard with you close by . He is fine with the other dogs in the house but would love to be an only or with one other senior pup. He loves to be in your lap but doesn’t want to share it.
