Hill Country Humane Society
Mission
Hill Country Humane Society is an animal shelter facility and a non-profit (501c3) organization engaged in animal care and adoption. HCHSÂ contracts with the Counties of Llano and Burnet and Cities of Burnet, Bertram, Sunrise Beach and Horseshoe Bay to provide sheltering services for homeless dogs and cats and a quarantine facility.
Adoption Policy
Our adoption fees are: $125.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats if they are spayed/neutered. If not, there is an additional $50 refundable deposit. Once you get them altered (we provide a voucher for a free spay/neuter) we refund the $50.00. Adoptions includes up to date vaccinations, de-wormer, a micro-chip and a voucher for a spay/neuter and a rabies vaccine.
If you have other animals we strongly encourage you to bring them with you to meet their potential new sibling to ensure they will all be friends.
If you rent, we must have landlord permission before we can do an adoption. Thank you and we look forward to meeting you.
