IRIS & her 10 siblings were surrendered to a local Shelter after their Mom was abandoned, rescued by a Good Samaritan and gave birth just days later.
The Good Samaritan was not able to keep this sweet family and surrendered them to the Shelter, only to have Animal Rescue of Tracy take them into FOSTER CARE -- (a Shelter is NOT a place for a young Mom with 11 puppies to live!) Mom is definitely Husky and we believe the father is German Shepard.
A DNA test has been done on one of the puppies and the results confirm Husky/German Shepard mix.
Iris's Foster Mom says Iris is energetic and loves to run & tumble.
Iris is 100% cuteness & a free-spirit.
She is happy to entertain herself with many toys and enjoys having her tummy rubbed.
The pups are all playful and energetic.
They will need to be potty trained, will be large-sized WORKING dogs and as they get older they will need a "job" that gives them an opportunity to release their Husky/German Shepard energies.
Every effort will be made to fix the puppies before adoption, but if this is not possible, each puppy will be adopted with a PUPPY SPAY/NEUTER ADDENDUM to the Adoption Contract that will REQUIRE the adopter to work with Animal Rescue of Tracy's Medical Coordinator to get each puppy fixed BEFORE they are 6 months old -- per State Law.
Adoption fee of $ includes spay/neuter, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchip, and free vet exam within 5 days of adoption.
Because we are a small rescue, we do not adopt farther than 100 miles from Tracy, CA.
It's simply not possible to facilitate a home visit farther away from here.
