Meet Jaada
This is Jaada est dob 06/15/14.
Jaada is an independent, sweet lady with the softest coat, who just needs a bed to curl up in. Her foster family will say she’s as close to a cat as you’ll get from a dog! She’s reserved at first, but after a couple days, she warms up completely and will be happy to snuggle up next to you if you let her.
Her full body wags are the cutest! Jaada is quiet, low energy and doesn’t need long walks to tire her out.
At her senior age, she’s not sure about making new doggy friends especially those with high-energy, so slow introductions would be best. Jada is curious about cats but with proper introductions, she is very respectful of their space.
She is great with human strangers in her home, and when she is done asking for pets, she’ll happily find a spot to lay down away from the crowd and take a nap.
Jaada is food motivated, and for a treat, she knows the commands ‘sit’, ‘lay down’, ‘stay’, ‘no’, and ‘speak’. Her favorite toys are squeaky toys - she’s a pro at destroying the squeaker without ripping up the toy.
Jaada has not been tested with children. No signs of resource-guarding or aggression, but she will grumble to communicate her boundaries when she’s uncomfortable (e.g. accidentally sitting on her tail).
She would love to be adopted with her best bud Frankie but is a big girl and could also love being the center of attention on her own.
