Meet Jack

A handsome male Labrador cross, 3.5 years old and weighing 30 kg. He experienced horror before being rescued from the dog meat trade in South Korea.

Jack's difficult past makes him very fearful of humans, and he doesn't trust them at the moment. He expresses his fear by barking and trying to intimidate them. Jack is housebroken in his pen and likes to go outside in the yard on his own. He loves to play with toys. He won't let us touch him, but he'll eat out of our hands, albeit always making protesting noises to make sure we know he's doesn't trust us.

At the shelter, he has become accustomed to the people who work there, but he always keeps a distance. Jack will need someone with lots of experience and a fenced yard. Someone who respects his space and has the patience and time to build a bond of trust with him. Jack can't live with children, other animals or in an environment with a lot of coming and going.
