Janet is a very small, wiry, little chihuahua mix. She is around 1 year old and weighs around 5-6lbs. She had a very rough start in life. She and her brother Jack came from a hoarding situation and they had very little human contact. Janet needs a patient, experienced dog family to show her the ropes. She can be fearful at first, but warms up in a few days or so. She may react with barking at strangers. She gets along with all of the other small dogs in her foster family - young and old alike. She is cat friendly. When she feels confident, she is the sweetest little girl in the world. She walks well on a leash. She does moderately well in a crate and will be quiet after some time. Janet loves all treats and loves to play with toys. Her absolute favorite is a sock to carry around. She is very proud of that trophy!
She will do best with someone who is home most of the time. She is such a loving, kind, funny little dog. She needs an all-adult home where she can blossom and root for a lifetime. She has so much to offer! If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area, and believe you have the perfect home for Janet.
