Meet Jasper! (aka Brownie)

Sweet Jasper is an approximately 10 month old male mixed breed pup. We think he could potentially be a pittie mixed with a Vizsla based on his eyes, coloring ears and body shape.

Jasper was found as a stray and was very undernourished. He is steadily gaining weight and filling out and looking so much better! He did have sores on one paw but is on meds and that is also improving.

Jasper can initially be shy but he is coming out of his shell and is playful with other dogs. He is finally starting to play with toys also. Jasper is very people oriented and is happiest when he has someone close by.

Jasper is too interested in cats to live with them. He has been great with kids so far and is in a foster home with a 10 and 12 year old as well as with two female dogs. Jasper does have resource and food guarding with other dogs so for this reason we feel he should be the only dog in the home. He has not exhibited any food or resource guarding with humans.

Jasper is a wonderful boy who still needs to adjust after being a stray and then being in a shelter for over 3 months but he is doing great and getting the hang of things quickly in his foster home.

He is a sweet loving boy who had a very hard and rough start in life. He is very smart and learning to adjust to life off of the streets and in a home. He is very deserving of a loving family that will help him continue on his path of being his best self.
