Meet our "Jack-in-a-Box" Jessee who came into our care feeling very sorry for herself, but is now well and truly on the road to recovery and ready to find her forever home
WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT ME
Scared, hungry, sore, and alone until she was found and brought into the care of the Hamilton SPCA, Jessee is another one of our shutdown emaciated mange pup miracles. This little girl is now full of beans, but can be wary and a bit shy of new people and situations. You can easily win her over with a handful of treats at the ready, she'll be your best friend forever. With her desire for food she will be a breeze to train. You will need to go slow and steady, and continue to help her be the confident happy outgoing girl that she is learning to be. She shares her room with a quiet reserved fella who is bigger than her, but don't be fooled by that cute cheeky face, she rules the roost. We are not sure of her mix so she might stay medium size or she might forget to stop growing and end up being large. We don't know what she is like with cats, but good well controlled introductions would be the best, and with lots of treats she will respond well. Even though Jessee is an older pup, she will still need someone who can be home with her through a big part of the day to help her learn the ropes and settle in. So if you are ready to have a dog as part of your family in your home, or an additional friend to an existing family dog, then please don't hesitate and click the "Register to Adopt" today. PS: A little footnote from Jessee ... when you look at my photo's you might notice I'm not holding up my tail, that's because some meanie cut it off :( , but it really doesn't matter too much because I give the best bottom wags you could ever come across...
