We beleive he will bond to to the right person or people given enough time and patience. Having a cat companion in the home is very important to Jet. Here is what his foster human has to say about Jet after caring for him for the past eight weeks.

Jet
is an adorable kitty who is very fearful when people are around. He has been in my room for 2 months and when I am in the room he stays under my bed unless I am asleep or tempting him with treats. I have a camera set up in my room to watch his behavior, and when I'm not there he is playful with small toys and will hang out in the cat tree or on my bed.

I have made some progress with him in the past month by tempting him out from under my bed with treats. When I first started he would stay far back under the bed and not move for the treats if he could see me, but after working with him daily he will now come out from under the bed and pretty close to me to get treats. He still hisses at me occasionally and he won't stay out for long but he has definitely improved and gotten more comfortable with me over time.
I have not tried touching him or petting him.

Does the cat scratch a scratcher? Yes, he has a cardboard house with a scratcher on the floor that he uses.

Does the cat always use the litter box? Yes

He eats Friskies Chicken Lovers shredded wet cat food. I alternate every day giving him one or two cans, on days I give him one I'll feed him around noon and on days I give him two I'll feed him around 10am and 11pm. I did try to give him pate once and he didn't like it and it gave him diarrhea. I haven't tried giving him other shredded food. He also eats dry food, I've been feeding him Purina One+ Indoor Advantage. I've given him deli turkey and he likes it, and I give him Greenies treats.

Does the cat ever swat (claws in) at you? If so, under what circumstances? He swatted at me once when I was holding a treat out in front of him to knock the treat out of my hand. It gave me a little scratch but since then I have not been holding treats out to him and he hasn't swatted at me. He's never bitten me and the only times he's hissed or swatted has been in a defensive way.

Does that cat have any cute/quirky traits that aren't covered by the previous
questions
? His favorite toy is a cloth hairband of mine that he found on the floor, he loves swatting it around!

In your opinion, what is the best thing about the cat? Why should an adopter choose THIS cat to adopt? I think
Jet
would be a great cat for someone with a lot of patience and time to work with him and teach him that people are not scary :) He is fluffy and adorable and has potential to be a wonderful but possibly elusive house cat.
