Joey

Meet our smart little man Joey! He came in as a stray and is now up for adoption.

We anticipate Joey will be very popular as Beagle puppies are not often available for adoption.

If you are interested in Joey, please be patient with the process as we are a busy shelter.

We will work through the first set of email interest for adoption and go from there.

Dogs like Joey often send in a large volume of interest.

Joey is about 8-9 weeks old, he is very smart which is typical of the breed.

He is so smart he is good about alerting us to go outside for potties.

He also learned the leave it command in less than 10 minutes.

Being a beagle Joey will need an owner dedicated to raising and training him.

The breed is outgoing, playful, cheerful, adventurous, and gentle but because of its independence and distractibility, it can be a difficult dog to train.

Joey has been training well with us so far, but as he grows it does not mean he will get easier.

He will need an owner committed to taking on hard work and dedication.
