Joey's Feline Friends

2015 started off rough for Joey’s Feline Friends with lower than expected donations and some issues at our shelter in Kaneohe, but thanks to our incredible supporters and volunteers, we saw some steady improvement and finished the year on a pretty good note.  Now we just have to keep that momentum going because we still have lots of wonderful cats waiting for their forever homes!

With close to 300 adoptions last year, you’d think we had room to spare, but unfortunately the shelter is still full.  While we are not actively taking in any new "residents", we receive previously adopted cats back every week.  These have been turned into Hawaiian Humane Society, abandoned, or just passed on to someone else and eventually wind up here.  This is one of the reasons we keep the microchip information in our name; so they will find their way back to us. The returns are primarily the result of families leaving.
