Due to border patrol restrictions, you'll be required to cross the border and meet in Blaine, WA to receive your pup :) Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio.
Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Jolene.
Jolene is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up.
Meet Jolene! Jolene is a 3 year old, pocket Rottweiler mix.
We say pocket, because she's on the smaller side at 55 pounds.
Jolene is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find a family to call her own! Jolene is dog friendly! She currently lives with 2 other dogs and does great with everyone.
We would say her energy level is low-moderate.
She's more calm than anything.
She loves lounging around and being with her human more than anything! Jolene hasn't been tested with cats, but she does enjoy chasing squirrels, so we would recommend a home without cats.
Jolene is kid friendly! She's been around children ages 7,9,13 and 17 and does great with everyone! Jolene can be shy at first, so we would recommend children ages 5 and older who can be calm around her.
Jolene is an absolute ANGEL on the leash! She walks calmly next to you and enjoys stopping to smell the roses and exploring! Jolene is fully potty trained and crate trained! She goes into her crate while her foster mom is away from the home for work or errands.
Jolene's foster mom will usually put a chew toy or a bone in there to keep her occupied.
As a rule in Jolene's foster mom's house, all pups are fed separately in their crate and Jolene does well with this! Jolene does great with treats and toys! Jolene's ideal home would have another doggie sibling to keep her company! Jolene is a submissive girl and loves having the company of another pup to cuddle and play with.
If we had to describe Jolene it would be : affectionate, loving and loyal.
She just wants to be with her human and loves to please! Jolene is very food motivated.
It makes teaching her new things that much easier! Jolene is a little on the shy side.
She's skittish towards fast or loud movements and sounds.
When we have guests over, Jolene will go into her crate with the door open until she feels safe to come out.
Once she does feel safe, she comes over and says hello to our guests! "I’m a shy girl so I need you to please be patient with me and know when I’m ready, we can take on the world together.
All I ask for in life is good food, cuddles on the couch or bed and love.
I get the zoomies occasionally and then want to spend the rest of the day sleeping on the couch.
I will also be your shadow because we are two peas in a pod.
I would love a fur sibling that can help me develop and show me the ropes.
Nothing too hyper, more like a calm, old soul… like me :) Car rides scare me a little.
I need some encouraging to get inside and when I'm in the car, I just lay down.
I can’t wait to meet you and spend the rest of my life with you!" Interested in learning more about Jolene or applying to adopt her?
