Beautiful Jolie, was abandoned in San Vicente.
Someone had rescued her and months later they called us for help.
She apparently had a broken leg and it hadn't been treated, so it healed in the upright position.
We’ve had her evaluated by a surgeon.
She is not in any pain and she has no problems as she has fully adapted to holding the leg up.
Jolie is very playful with other dogs and is medium-high energy.
She plays hard and naps hard.
She’s free range 24/7 and moves to different areas of the shelter because she’s so dog social.
She would love a large outdoor space to run and and play.
She may not be the perfect companion for a long distance runner, but she does run all day, walks normal on leash and loves life.

We use Petfinder to reach a greater audience for our dogs and adopt the majority of our dogs to the US and Canada.
The first step is to submit an application on our website here: Once we receive your application, we will review it and may contact you for more information or to conduct a home check.
If your application is approved, we collaborate with flight companions (flight angels) flying from Puerto Vallarta to destinations close to where the dog is posted as available.
Adopters can meet these flight angels at the airport and take the pup home.
(We can provide more detailed information about this process to adopters upon request.) Before requesting adoption fees or the signing of the adoption contract we give adopters a few days to a week to spend time with their new pup.
If for some reason things were not to work out, we kindly ask that the adopters foster the dog until we find a suitable home for them.
A few notes about our pups: - Most of our shelter dogs are accustomed to being outside and free-roaming unless otherwise stated.
Some may have been in homes before and could be potty trained but in a new environment they would need easy access to the outside and be re-acclimated to their designated potty area.
We cannot guarantee a pup is potty trained unless they are with a foster or surrendered to us with noted training.
- We send more videos/pictures of our dogs.
Unfortunately, we cannot do live videos at our shelter.
- Our dogs are given de-wormer tested negative for heartworm (unless otherwise noted) are up to date on required vaccines for travel and receive regular flea and tick treatment.
They have also been evaluated by our vet who has provided any necessary medical care upon rescue.
--Last but not least we LOVE our dogs and we hope you do too.
They have hearts of gold and so much love to give.
Please be kind and patient with them; they are worth it! It takes time to adjust to new people and new places.
We are on IG and FB.
Please consider adopting as we have over 130 dogs and the shelter is full.
