ADOPTION OF A PUPPY UNDER 9 MONTHS OF AGE The dog you are interested in is a puppy (under a year old).
Puppies are placed into their new homes on a foster-to-adopt basis until he/she is old enough to be neutered or spayed.
We prefer the puppy to be no younger than 7 months old for females and 9 months for males.
Houses with pools must demonstrate that puppies can be restricted from the pool with fencing or a cover.
Additional puppy vaccines will be required, and will be coordinated by SPR to occur either in your home by an SPR volunteer, or brought by the adopter to an SPR-approved facility.
Puppies often have multiple potential adopters, so SPR evaluates which home is the best match with any given puppy and their expected home needs once they have grown.
My name is Julia.
I was named after the Julia Child rose since my mom’s name is Rose.
I will just put it out there – I am CUTE! I may look smaller than my sibling, but I actually weigh more because I am very athletic and muscular, so an active lifestyle will be #1 on my list.
My foster mom says that someone with dog experience will be best because I am strong willed and need
to have someone to make sure I learn my obedience skills early on, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have super sweet moments! I like to express my opinions which my foster mom says is an “endearing quality”.
I am confident and like to explore and learn new things.
If climbing or running or jumping is involved – I AM IN! As with any puppy, you will have to invest time in me young so that I learn and be patient since it will be new to me.
I am just now learning about playing in a yard and I love time outside supervised to keep me safe.
My foster mom says “I’m
such a puppy for picking up everything in my mouth.” I won’t be the best fit for an apartment or home without a yard, so hope you have a place for me to play, maybe we can even get a tunnel because I love playing with my tunnel now.
A secret – I LOVE to nap and I am excellent at it.
I
want a playmate, but since I am little now, having a bigger dog will be best for me when I am grown.
I play with lots of dogs in my foster home now so big dogs – males or females don’t matter to me.
Basically, I am fabulous, and you know you want to meet me! Did I tell you I am so photogenic that we will make beautiful selfies together! Age: Born 12/30/ (puppy)
Color: Tan and black
Size when grown: Large
Sex: Female (spay pending age 9-10 months)
Breed: German Shepherd mix (Rottie/ mastiff)
Vaccines: DHPP puppy shot current Rabies – not due

Good with other dogs: Yes; loves dogs
Good with people: Yes; love people

maybe small critters are not the best match
