~~New Foster Needed or even better **FOREVER HOME** ~~ Puppies are born into the world knowing only their mothers love.
They are angels full of hope, sweetness and untapped potential.
They meet their owner and love them and trust them implicitly.
Imagine being that puppy and finding out your owner doesn't love you and could care less about you.
Imagine being that puppy and realizing that there's not enough food and knowing your mom is eating less to help ensure you get an extra morsel or two, because she loves you so much.
Please meet our sweet little 6 month old puppy named Julie.
She is a Pit Bull and was found after being abandoned in a house with 2 other dogs, who are guessed to be her parents, for several days.
She was thrown out like the rest of the garbage and drug paraphernalia that was strewn around the house; her life meaning nothing.
These dogs were eating everything in the house that they could find to eat, just to survive.
Doors were torn off cabinets, walls eaten, carpets destroyed, toilet completely empty of water.
Can you imagine being only 6 months old and struggling to survive?
She weighed a mere 27 pounds when she was finally saved and surrendered to Animal Control.
She was emaciated with ribs showing, rarely, possibly even never having a kind word spoken to her or a loving human touch.
A foster read her plea and stepped up because she wanted to show Julie that not all humans were bad.
We took Julie into care, promising to do everything to keep her safe, well loved, happy and healthy.
Julie was full of wiggles and love from the moment she arrived into our care.
She would climb into her fosters lap and snuggle in as close as possible to them and instantly bonded with her doggie foster sisters, especially the pittie.
Julie seemed to be healthy but little did we know, she wasn't as healthy as we thought.
Julie gave everyone a heart wrenching scare when she got very sick.
We rushed her to the emergency vet and held our breath, chewed on our nails and prayed for her.
After 36 hours of around-the-clock care she pulled through and we were very relieved and overjoyed when she was allowed to go home to her foster home.
She is on a prescription diet currently and she does have a sensitive stomach, which is common for the pittie breed.
Fast forward a couple weeks and Julie's health has continued to improve and she has even gained some weight, now weighing 42 pounds.
Julie longs to find her forever home where she will have a human or family that will dote on her and spoil her.
She gets along very well dogs her size or larger and wants to play, play, play with them; she is a puppy after all.
Julie does very well with her doggie foster sisters.
She bonded instantly with her pittie foster sister and loves giving her face licks and cuddles.
Her lab foster sister plays tug of war with her, but she is also surprisingly good at playing by herself.
Julie is up to date on vaccines, has a clear fecal, microchipped and will be spayed prior to adoption.
Julie will be required to be signed up for basic obedience classes before adoption.
Julie does suffer from extreme separation anxiety so she will need someone that can take her with them or be home.
She will also need someone that will work on her with the separation anxiety.
A home with another dog her size or larger would be beneficial also because they will continue helping to build her confidence and teach her how to be a dog.
Julie is not good with small dogs and cats.
She just wants to chase them.
Julie has not been exposed to many kids and due to her size and energy level she will only be allowed to go to a family with older, dog savvy children.
