Requirements: ~ Adult only home
~ No other pets This is Kam.
He is a Northwest Farm Terrier (Airedale/Border Collie/Irish terrier/Jack Russell cross) At 7 years young, he's pretty well experienced in this human world of ours.
Kam is a super fun guy.
He loves to play fetch, and adores going for car rides.
He's also quite the foodie, so training has been so much fun.
He'll do anything for his favorite treat!
Kam has lived in a house before.
He is perfectly housebroken and crate trained and overall a pretty mellow guy in the home.
He's not destructive, and stays off the furniture.
He's in foster with one of our trainers and he spends his days resting his head on her lap while she works from her laptop, or entertaining himself in the yard when she leaves the door open for him.
Kam was scheduled to be euthanized by his family because he had some resource guarding issues.
He became protective of his food and his toys.
However, while hanging with our trainers, he now easily trades toys for treats, and is fine with people moving around about his bowl while he eats.
We can help new owners learn how to properly manage his behavior so that the resource guarding does not reappear.
While Kam is very friendly with people of all ages, given his history, we will only place him in an adult only home committed to continuing his training (which we will provide free of charge).
Kam would prefer to be the only pet in the home.
