Meet Kayah

Kayah is a 6yr old retired breeder mom from the puppy mills in Lancaster. Kayah means mountain in Inuit, and we decided this is the perfect name for her, as she overcomes the mountain that was the beginning of her life. She is a very sweet girl, but extremely shy and nervous around people due to the cruelty of puppy mills. She will need adopters who are willing to go slow and give her lots of time, love, and patience. She will need help with training, given that she has never lived in a home before her foster home. Kayah will make an amazing loyal companion once she learns she is safe. She will do best in a home with no small children, and another dog for her to be buddies with. Experience with rescue dogs is also required for Kayah's adopters
