Meet Keaton
Born approximately 1/10/22, Keaton is a young Husky and we believe may be a Lab or Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix. He came to us via Tri Cities Animal Shelter in Pasco Washington where he waited several weeks for someone to choose him.
The volunteers at the shelter described him as an all-around good boy who enjoyed both walks and yard playtime with other dogs. He’s young, and energetic, enjoys his walks, and does quite well on a leash. He knows to sit and is treat motivated so learning new things should be a snap for this sweet and happy-go-lucky boy.
Keaton does fine in a kennel, and is mostly potty trained but will lift his leg to mark things – this most likely is from shelter life, and with a belly band and redirection/training we believe this will stop once he’s settled into a place he knows is his.
Keaton is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Since he was picked up as a stray, he surely doesn’t mind an independent walkabout so a home with a secure 6ft fence is required. A person or family that will commit to his mental and physical needs through routine training and exercise and a canine companion of similar energy would be a bonus. If there are children in the home, over the age of 5.
