Have you ever met a dog that really touches your heart and stands out from all the rest?
Not just another dog, but one that is truly special?
Well, thats how I would describe Kendall Hope.
This precious girl is longing for a forever family who will be as devoted to her as she is to them.
Someone who will never give up on her and love her unconditionally, like she does them.
We estimate that Kendall is about 3.5 years old and may be some sort of Border Collie, Cattle Dog, and/or Australian Shepherd mix.
With rescue its always just a guess, and shes probably a wonderful mix of multiple breeds.
She is only 45 lbs, so a perfect medium-sized girl.
What matters most is her love, loyalty, and temperament.
Kendall is a very sweet, gentle, and calm girl.
She is shy and timid at first and will need a little time to warm up, but once she does, she will bond to you like no other.
Kendall is so sweet and gentle, in fact, that the foster even trusts her around her 2 and 4 year old children.
Kendall will just lay near the kids while they play.
She loves to be near her humans.
Kendall passed her cat test at the rescue, and she is also living with a cat in her foster home.
We think she would do well in a home with an avoidant and/or dog-savvy cat.
She is also dog friendly and did well meeting new dogs during her assessment.
She isnt interested in playing with the other dogs, but shes fine to coexist and just hang out with them.
Kendall is such a good girl and really listens well.
She corrects very easily if needed.
She is already potty trained and still working on crate training.
She is pretty easy on the leash, but will be working on her skills with her foster to get used to new environments.
Kendall has had a rough start to life and therefore tends to be reserved while she adjusts to new places and new people.
She doesnt have an ounce of aggression in her, she just needs a little more time to get comfortable and come out of her shell.
Once she opens up, she is incredibly devoted and loyal.
The ideal family for Kendall will be loving, committed, and patient so she can fully open up with them, trust them, and become the best companion she can be.
We think she would do best in a home with a yard.
She could do well with or without kids, and with or without cats.
She would do best either without other dogs, or with dogs that are calm and respectful of her space.
She probably would not do well with dogs that are intrusive or overly playful.
She will need a family that can commit to continuing to socialize, train, and build trust with her.
The bond that will develop will be unmatched.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation.
Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference.
Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space.
We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives.
They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives.
Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program.
Together, we can be heroes.
