Meet Kingsley
***NEEDS FOREVER HOME***
This gorgeous 7 to 8-year-old, 65-pound shepsky-cattle dog named KINGSLEY has been living with a young family, other female and male dogs, and cats for the past 5 years. He was primarily an outdoor dog. The family is growing and so has less time to enrich KINGSLEY's life, so the family is rehoming him. KINGSLEY is also not as comfortable around the toddler and his behavior has changed with the other male dog, so the family has some safety concerns.
We are now helping them find a cat-free home that can include other female dogs and older kids. Because he has been a great travel companion for this family, his new family should include someone who enjoys hiking and fishing and allowing him to run to his heart's content.
KINGSLEY enjoys playing with balls, squeaky, and tug toys. He'll play chase with his humans. Like most dogs, he is afraid of loud noises (fireworks, gunshots).
KINGSLEY has not had any formal training, but already knows 'sit' and 'down'. KINGSLEY will make a nice guard dog as he barks when strangers approach the house.
KINGSLEY may need to be watched when enjoying food, toys, or chews as he may not have learned how to share his resources with other dogs in the home.
KINGSLEY is healthy and recently received his health vaccine and rabies vaccine. The rescue will make sure that he is microchipped for his forever family.
