Kobe is an intelligent, playful and happy boy who is looking to join his forever family. He can take a little bit of time to warm up to people, but this doesn’t take long after a few treats! Once he’s built a bond, his sweet personality shines through. He is a bouncy character who enjoys playing with his tennis balls and having the zoomies! He also enjoys going for walks but can show some frustrated behaviours around other dogs so wears a muzzle as a safety precaution. He is looking for an experienced owner who will be knowledgeable about his breed or willing to research and who will continue with his training and socialisation around dogs. Kobe is a very special boy who will make a fantastic companion for the right person or family.Kobe is looking for a calm, semi – rural home with no young children. He could live with sensible teenagers of 16+ providing they have lived with a dog before and will give him space when needed. He can be a bit of a worried boy at times, so needs an experienced person/family who will be understanding of his needs whilst continuing his training and socialisation. He will need to wear a muzzle when out and about and be walked on a long line when in the park as opposed to being fully off lead. His new adopters will receive 3 1-2-1 sessions with our Mayhew Clinical Behaviourist. The first session will be on the day of collection. Whilst at Mayhew, Kobe has had entropion surgery. This is common for the breed, removing excess skin so that his eyelid was lower down, meaning he’s more comfortable and finds it easier to see. He also had a small amount of fur-loss, this was fully investigated with all results coming back showing no abnormalities with the skin. These issues seemed to have cleared up now and his fur has grown back. Kobe has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
