Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.***
Lance, 1 years old, neutered male, Boxer/Pitbull mix, 52 pounds. He is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport to an approved adopter.
Lance is a young, energetic pup who loves to play. He shares a home with a couple other dogs and loves to play with them! There is another young (75 pound) dog in the home and they are active in the backyard chasing each other. There is also a little older dog in the home, who isn't too interested in play. Lance picks up on those ques and moves onto something else. We think if there is another dog in the home, he would like having someone who is interested in play.
We have no history with cats or kids. He loves people and is all tail wags when meeting new people. He loves belly rubs and pets. We recommend a home with kids 12 years and older.
He pulls a little when first out on a walk, but responds well to leash correction. Overall, he will walk with a loose leash and stays close. He is house broken and does well when crated.
Lance does like to chew on toys and play tug of war. He is not destructive and does not get into things he is not supposed to. He does get excited when first greeting you and will jump up.
We think he would do best in a moderately active home. He is able to be calm in the house and hang out. But he is a younger dog and does need some weekly physical outlets at a minimum. He would do great on walks, trails, hikes etc. In his current foster home, someone is home fairly often.
He is very sweet and eager to learn. He is looking for a home who maintains structure and consistency. He would like another dog friend or ways to continue to socialize with other dogs. He rides great in the car. We can't wait to find his forever home!
