Meet Lando
Lando is a charismatic representative of the Cairn Terrier breed, a small but sturdy dog known for its distinctive rough coat and spirited personality. Hailing from the Scottish Highlands, Cairn Terriers like Lando have historically been used to hunt and chase quarry between the cairns in their rugged homeland.
With twinkling, expressive eyes and a shaggy, weather-resistant outer coat that ranges in colors from brindle to black, gray, and cream, Lando exudes a magnetic charm that belies his rugged origins. His coat, a notable feature, requires regular brushing to maintain its characteristic appearance but not much in terms of professional grooming.
True to his breed, Lando possesses a keen sense of curiosity and is always up for an adventure. Cairn Terriers are known for their alertness, and Lando is no exception. He’s quick to announce the presence of strangers but is generally friendly once he sizes them up.
Despite his small size, Lando is not a lap dog. He’s active, agile, and loves to play, displaying a youthful zest for life that’s infectious to those around him. His intelligence and independent nature can sometimes make him a bit stubborn, but with the right training and socialization, he’s as loyal and obedient as any companion can be.
Lando's roots as a working dog mean that he thrives on mental and physical stimulation. He loves puzzle toys, training sessions, and, of course, the occasional playful chase – be it after a ball or a gust of wind carrying a fallen leaf.
