This adorable pup was adopted from us in .
We had pulled him from the Palmdale Shelter, and then he received so many wonderful adoption applications that we felt like we could literally pick one out of a hat.
Fast forward 3 years, and we were contacted by the people who adopted him and were told that he had bit someone in the home and they wanted to surrender him.
We welcomed him back here, where he has been as sweet as can be with all of us.
We got him into the vet right away to see if there was something medically wrong.
Upon exam, it was determined he had a deep inner ear infection, and bloodwork revealed extremely elevated liver levels.
We began treating him and quickly noticed other signs that were concerning: a ravenous appetite and increased thirst.
After additional days of testing, he was diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease.
He is now taking a daily pill to manage his disease.
We have continued to monitor his behavior daily for the past several months, and he interacts with everyone on our staff and all of our volunteers perfectly.
No one has reported anything alarming to us about his behavior.
We all walk with him, play with him, and sit with him.
He has also been a complete gem for grooming and vet appointments.
We do know he would prefer to be the one and only, and based on what we were told when he was surrendered, we will be looking for an adult-only home for him.
If a sweet senior who deserves another chance steals your heart, please set up a time to meet him.
We are all rooting for you, sweet Larry.
