Meet Larry

Greetings! My name is Larry, but never fear, I was named for my frosty good looks, not the Marvel character. My handsome appearance isn't all that I've got going for me though. I'm a young and active boy that would love a human friend to go on all the adventures with. I love riding in the car, as well as walking and running! I have lots of energy to play tug and other games, so my best friend would enjoy those things, too. My ideal playmate would be one that is strong and patient enough to teach me how to play politely, as sometimes I get a little too excited. Though I have lots of energy for play time and adventures, once I get all my wiggles out, I'm always down for some ear scratches and to cuddle on your lap while we relax.

I'm very smart and eager to learn, but I could use a solid leader to help me be my best self. I already know "sit" and "down" and I know I could learn so much more. I've lived in a home before & my previous owners say I am housetrained, but I need some help learning just how big I am, and how best to behave indoors. Due to the fact that sometimes I misjudge my strength and size, a home without cats or kids would be best for me.

My last family brought me to SHS because I was a bit too much to handle, but with the right mental and physical stimulation, along with an experienced dog owner, I know I can be the very best boy.
